Bug Description

I'm running XFCE under precise armhf with the latest TI pvr driver on my Panda A4 and GNOME terminal (the default terminal emulator under Ubuntu) doesn't work as the area of its window in which the terminal text should be displayed is all black and none of the settings I've tried adjusting made the prompt appear.

I don't use compiz and other terminals like xterm and lxterminal work fine (with the pvr driver)

I have a similar setup. XFCE on armel precise. When I open gnome-terminal I also get a blank black screen. I found two things work.
1. Open a new terminal from that terminal
2. (This always works) change your profile settings. The colors etc and when you save them and come back it will have them. For example I choose green on black and it works great.
