gcalctool window opens offscreen sometimes

Bug Description

If the desktop is empty it seems gcalctool opens usually in the top left of the screen. if the desktop has stuff on it, then it sometimes appears offscreen.

the wm decides of the placement of wins on screen, it's not something the applications do

What do you mean "off-screen"? An external monitor? Literally off of the screen? Please provide more detail so we can help.
