This package is required as it is a dependency for MAAS (LP: #961344).

3. Security: No CVEs

Ubuntu contain only released version of this package. The code is in [1]. Upstream is very active.
NO ubuntu bugs.

6. Dependencies: All in main

7. Standards:
No lintian Warnings nor errors
Package is packaged with debhelper, and has no patching system. Source format is 3.0

8. Maintenance: easy

9. Background information:
This package is a dependency for the MAAS, which replaces Orchestra. Intelligent schema migrations for django apps.

Looks fine. However, there's a test suite in south/test that looks interesting. Do you know how to run it? setup.py test doesn't seem to. If it's not a suite meant for automated running, that's fine. But worth investigation.

Would also be nice to see a bug subscriber.

Hi Michael,

There's no easy way to run the tests, as it is not meant for automated running:

"To run the South tests, find a Django app (or make a new blank one) and add South to INSTALLED_APPS, and set SKIP_SOUTH_TESTS to False in your settings. Then, run ./manage.py test south."
