Bug Description

Binary package hint: xchat

The IETF draft (http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-butcher-irc-url-04) which defines the irc: URI scheme includes provision for giving a link to a particular user, which when accessed and passed to the client will open a query window to the user in question. However, X-Chat interprets the URL string irc://irc.foo.org/bar,isnick as attempting to join two channels on the server irc.foo.org -namely #bar and "isnick", the latter returning ERR_NOSUCHCHANNEL.

I typed /server irc://irc.freenode.net/bar,isnick in xchat, and it gave the error reported and joined #bar

Seems to be fixed on Gutsy x86, using Xchat 2.8.4. No changelog entry that would confirm this found, though.
