Bug Description

After upgrading to version 11 last week Firefox wouldn't work (as described in original question): launch ok but typing url and pressing return or clicking green 'go' button in the address bar doesn't work. Impossible to use bookmarks either: Firefox Sync down.
All other actions in menus don't work, especially Restart with plugins disabled.
Only workaround possible so was to force back previous version available, i.e. 9.0.1

Seems to be plugin related: I re-upgraded with Adblock+ disabled and am now able to type and visit addresses. BUT Firefox Sync still won't work: all my bookmarks, recently visited sites and passwords are not available.

Reproduced anytime simply by upgrading to v11 (first from v10.0.2, then from 9.0.1) under Lucid 32bit. I have no problems with upgrade to v11 on my other machine with Lucid 32bit, but Firefox is installed directly from Mozilla sources in /opt.
Library, build issue?

Original question by Andrey:
I can fill URL string but neither pressing Enter on keyboard nor mouse click on green arrow right to address don't open page - only blank window. Had to install 9.0.1 from mozillateam/firefox-stable ppa

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Are you still trying to use the Firefox sync addon instead of the built in Firefox Sync capability?

Add-ons page is taking forever to open with Forefox upgraded to v11 (ABP previously disabled). Only Catalogue tab visible on the left column and loading loop on the right.

Connecting to Gmail also hangs on loading:
"This is taking longer than usual. Try reloading the page.
If that doesn't work, you can:
    Disable Labs and try again.
If you're on a slow connection, try basic HTML view.

Basic Html works though

I will try again to check this after forcing back 9.0.1
Be right back!

I found the culprit: I had the Bindwood 1.04 add-on still up from previous configuration (I think it was linked to stand-alone versions of Firefox Sync, then known as the Weave add-on).

Solved. Many thanks for your help!

I can confirm disabling Bindwood extention before update solved the problem.
