Bug Description

When you install samba4
you got an error saying that" you already have a smb.conf file"
then you have to make a procedure like that, if you wanted to install samba 4

sudo apt-get purge samba4
sudo rm /etc/samba/smb.conf
sudo apt-get install samba4

After that, everything seems to work fine.

Samba 4 will happily use an existing smb.conf file but will complain if some of the settings in the current smb.conf file do not match the provision parameters. What's the exact error message you're getting?

I wonder if this is a dupe of bug 832465.
