I still do not see it in gutsy, only in hardy repo. Could it be backported for gutsy?

Currently diff-ext got an RC Bug. I've fixed it in my branch but waiting to have ries (Debian ftp-master) up and running again to have the fix uploaded to Debian as well. Then we can sync the package to Hardy, and you'll be able to request a backport for it.
