Thank you for reporting this. I see some errors in the syslog (Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.), but are you able to retry the installation and get the same results?

I can confirm this or a similar crash. In my case there is nothing in dmesg. It always happens after I've typed in my login details. Then the next screen stays empty and then the installer just dies.

I've run ubiquity in a terminal to see if there's any debug output but it just quits without any output.
