Bug Description

I have installed 12.04 Beta 1 with updates to March 12. When I plug the printer in it is recognized, and a driver is installed. When I attempt to print, one page is printed with the message:

ERROR:
invalidaccess
OFFENDING COMMAND:
length
STACK:

I have tried this on both my laptop (running the 32 bit version) and on my desktop (64 bit) with the same result. I had been running 10.10, with worked fine. The printer also works under XP.

I tried installing the LPR and CUPS packages from Brother, with the same result.

I doubt if it matters, but I am using the xubuntu flavor.

Additional information: I tried connecting my old Brother DCP-7020 printer. It was recognized, and the test page printed correctly. Encouraged by today's updates which involved the printing system, I deleted the MFC-8680DN and reconnected it again. It was detected and a driver was installed, but again it printed the error message listed above.

Both printers were using the USB interface.

FIXED with:
Installation of package: brother-cups-wrapper-laser
Reinstalled Printer
Selected driver "MFC8860DN"
Seems to work fine.
