Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

In latest Feisty, the "you have a problem with a repo" window gets lost behind the currently active window in teh currently active workspace, meaning that if update-manager is on another workspace, it will appear to freeze, as all these windows are modal.

Sorry, but metacity doesn't handle child dialogs very well. E.g. compiz does a better job here.

reassigning to update-manager to get comment from the maintainers, is the dialog transient?

That looks like http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=314977 which has been fixed already

Steps to verify:

Edited my source.list with a wrong repository
Started update-manager
Checked for updates and moved update-manager window to the workspace on the right
The error does not appear in the current workspace, but in the workspace where update-manager is.
