Bug Description

My Lenovo ThinkPad T61 never shut down on closing session with Ubuntu 12.04. Each time I have to hold on the power button to make it down.

and then change the status of the bug to 'Confirmed'.

Hello,

im running precise on my T61 (Nvidia Quadro NVS graphic card). Shutdown doesn't work for me too.

Yes, marking it as duplicate of #94772 looks like a mistake.

I've same problem with T61 and up-to-date Precise. I'd attach apport logs, but for now I can't do this because of the duplicate status of this bug.

Same here. Lenovo T61 with nvidia Quadro NVS. System shuts down but doesn't power off. The problem disappears when the battery is removed. Extremally annoying.
