GNOME 2.18 feels so slow

I don't know why but the GNOME 2.18 from Feisty feels so slow compared to a another distro or older Ubuntu GNOME Desktops i.e. 2.16/2.14 environments

The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Gutsy Gibbon.
