Cannot edit appointments from pop-up reminders in evolution

When an appointment reminder pops up, there is an Edit button. That used to work fine, but I think around the time I updated to Ubuntu 11.10 it stopped working. Hitting the Edit button has no effect at all.

It is frustrating having to switch to evolution and manually bring up the calendar in order to edit the appointment.
