Bug Description

Middle-clicking title bars is supposed to send windows to the background (I believe). This does not behave as well as it should.

Middle-clicking the title bar of a window that is not on top makes it briefly appear on top before it is sent to the background, causing a flicker. See step 4 below.

It also doesn't work properly with minimized windows in some circumstances. Middle-clicking a window's title bar causes it to go to the back briefly, before returning to the front. See step 6 below.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Login
2. Open 3 Nautilus windows (non-maximized).
3. Middle-clicking the top-most window's title bar should send it to the background as expected.
4. Middle-clicking the title bar of lower windows will briefly bring them to the top before they go to the background. (Bug)
5. Minimize one of the windows.
6. Middle-clicking the top-most window's title bar will send it to the background briefly before returning it to the top. (Bug)

Hi, is this still an issue with up-to-date 12.04? Thanks!
