Can not send and recieve emails vi Evolution (Zorin OS 5.2)

Previously experienced issues with evolution on Ubuntu 11.10
Now moved to Zorin evolution works to an extent on some accounts but with yahoo and Gmail there seems to be an issue

It takes forever to send an email and if dos it takes just as long most of the time it still sits in the out box. I have not been able to get any email for my yahoo account at all.

Also having trouble encrypting and send mail

O/S Zorin -os 5.2 (Ubuntu)
Release 11.04

Ubuntu Software centre 4.0.7

I expect to be able to set-up my email account to send and receive emails without any trouble

Instead i am unable to send or receive some email.s

This is my third attempt to try and resolver this issue with evolution as it seems to be buggy at times

Hi Guys
Just to update you on this issue as i have not hear from anyone.

The emails that were sitting in my out box have now been sent. Please note i have not adjusted anything in regards to sending mail since posting
However i am still unable to receive any yahoo emails , any ideas as to why this is?

Further update

I have bypassed my firewall in attempt to resolve this issue - no go still the same

I have replace my hub with a new one - still no joy same problem

I have checked with Yahoo if there is an issue there side - no luck still the same problem .

The only other difference i can see to previous ver. of evolution is that there was an option to set the port numbers up but in this ver. this option is not to be found is this a possible problem with the install? or no?

This version is no more supported and is not a 'security' problem; so does not expect a backport
