I do not provide support for people using distro provided packages. If you are using a distro provided package, uninstall it and install the official calibre binary from http://calibre-ebook.com/download_linux and if you can reproduce the bug with that, re-open the ticket. Of course, if you are already using the official binary, apologies and feel free to re-open the ticket immediately :)

Hi,

What do you mean by "from binaries"? If you install the ones provided at "http://calibre-ebook.com/download_linux", then please open a new bug report against "calibre" (not the Ubuntu one).
Otherwise, please open a new bug report agains calibre (Ubuntu).

Thanks,
Fabrice

Hello Aydin,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with Calibre. You made this bug report in 2012 and there have been several versions of Ubuntu and Calibre since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to this bug?
If you are, could you let us know and, in the current version, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect 951495
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu and Calibre better.
G
