Bug Description
I see that Empathy defaults to a wide window that cannot be resized to reduce it's width. Please see the screenshot.
Btw, I'm not sure if this is added as a new feature...

Also, mouse over a contact gives a info popup - black bordered box with a white area inside. I see that the info is not visible, as in the screenshot.
