Bug Description

Availability: Available in Ubuntu Precise.

Rationale: I'd like to enable some build-time integration tests for the X server. These require libgtest and libxorg-gtest.

Security: N/A - no code linked to this library should leave the buildds. This is purely for build-time tests.

Quality assurance: No user-visible code. Active Ubuntu-driven upstream.

Dependencies: All except libgtest-dev in main; gtest MIR is bug #949575

Maintenance: A simple package, with no current bugs.

xorg-gtest is an extension to Google's gtest unit testing framework to make it easy to run tests against a dummy X server. It's used for some integration tests on the X server. Having this would allow us to enable some build-time checks for the Xserver.

Thank you for your suggestion. However, the changes you are requesting aren't really a bug and require more discussion, which should be done on an appropriate mailing list or forum. http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community/mailinglists might be a good start for determining which mailing list to use.

This *is* the process to promote a source to main - see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MainInclusionProcess

looks fine, should be promoted once gtest and libxorg-gtest are promoted.
