Open nautilus
Right-click on file
Select 'Cut' or 'Copy'
Right-click in empty space

Paste is greyed out but still usable

Fail. Can't reproduce after restarting nautilus.
First appeared when working on a FAT pendrive but persisted in /home folder

Restarting Nautilus fixes the problem.

I don't know if it helps any, but I encounter it more often when there are many tabs open and I peceive it as happening more on a mounted SMB share than a local disk, but that may also just be due to my work pattern. It could be related to some timeout issue, as the SMB server spins the drives down and thus occasionally takes a while to respond.
