Remade username doesnt ask keyring to make password

Bug Description

Deleting user and making with deleted name ignores keyring

Make User123
Use it- connect to secured wifi and make unsafe storage
Log out
Log to another Admin account
Remove User123 and (since theres bug you cant immidiatly create same name user)
                           A.) 1.) exit user management and open it again 2.) make User123
else
B.) make User123 get error you dont have sufficient privilegies then A.) 1.) and A.) 2.)
else
C.) make User456 then A.) 2.)
optional D.) Delete User456

So when User123 is remade:
Log in User123
Connect to secured wifi
Enter passw

FAIL: no keyring passw making asked.

Instead: Ask again as allways or silence keyring forever on every Ubuntu release.

The question is, do you remove User123's home directory? If not, then the exact same configuration will be used by the recreated user. That's not a bug.

Yes I presssed delete folders on promting so its a bug couse all is deleted
and new folders made on creating again..

Did you check the folder was actually deleted? This makes no sense to me, if the files are gone the keyring configuration is gone too; the users tool has no power on this. What happens if you create a completely new user?

Common- stop asking try yourself
Yes theyr deleted.

If totaly new username then beeing asked for keyring on 1st start
If then i delete it and make same username then not beeing asked.
What else you cant read from description?

I no longer use Ubuntu, and if you ask me I don't really care. And I couldn't guess from the original description whether the user files were removed or not.

Anyway, I was completely mistaken by your report. There's no bug at all, just try what I asked you:
> What happens if you create a completely new user?
When creating a new user, the keyring password is set to be the login password, so the password is never asked. It's been like that for ages, and it's not specific to re-creating users.

So this is the real bug, not the other way round.

Anyway, I don't think the chances are high that anybody will fix this kind of relatively minor bugs in 10.04. People are already too busy with recent versions to backport such fixes to versions that are in maintenance mode. Users management has changed much in new versions, so it's not worth fixing something that has disappeared since then. Sorry.

Ok if bug is asking for keying then its ported or fixed now. Cant recreate this bug on same comp.
