Please tell me the apport command line to use.
apport-????? args
Thank you. "Open with apport" doesn't seem to be a choice.
I found and ran /usr/share/...-gtk empathy_crash_file. The result
continues with
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/948295

Addressing reproducibility, I had facebook and a private business chat
open. I suspended the computer (turns off network) and restarted
computer (turns network on), producing the crash. This is not
reproducible in a dependable way, however, empathy occasionally crashes
and I haven't paid attention to a possible cause before this incident.
Toggling the radio off/on just now didn't cause the problem.
Suspend/resume just now didn't cause a problem.
