Brightness set to low after sleep mode

Bug Description

After resuming my ThinkPad X60s from sleep mode, screen brightness is set to low and needs to be reset manually. As suggested in bug 872932 I'm filing a separate bug report for this.

I can provide additional information (log files etc.) on request.

Bug still present in 12.04 LTS. Does anybody care about this?

Now it works. One of this month's updates must have been magic.
