I just pushed the initial sidebar implementation. There's an issue with the edit button related to this bug. If you use the toolbar's edit button, the event is edited in the backend, but no notification is sent out (and as a consequence, the gui isn't updated). However, if the edit button in the grid is used, the gui is notified, but the backend isn't updated. Can you check this out as well, or shall I report a separate bug?

I still have the bug on the daily build os elementary with update

The maya daily build is 19 hours old, the fix is only 3 hours old. You should have it by tomorrow.
