I just started the system setting by clicking on the icon in the dash menu and this crash report appeared

Should note that this is actually in 12.10, not 12.04 as reported. Also, the 'Display' section of Control Centre also does nothing at the moment.

Another issue is that when I try to close the Control Centre, it just restarts itself. Over and over again, until it crashed when I tried to select 'Colour'.

I've just had the same set as keithclark on 12.10; although it does look like the original reporter was on pre-12.04

the bug is years old without activity nor new report and the code changed quite a lot since, closing, feel free to register new bugs if you have issues in newer versions though
