Opening Media file in VLC causing logout

Bug Description
When I am trying to open a media file in VLC 2.0, my system is getting logout automatically.
Steps:
1. Open VLC.
2. Go to Media -> Open File.
3. Select the file to open
4. System will logout as soon as you select open file.

Does it happen when starting VLC without any file to open? Does it happen when playing an audio-only media?
It looks to me that your X server crashes. In that case, it's not a VLC bug.
