Rhythmbox Unresponsive when searching/scanning

Rhythmbox 2.95 in precise is very unresponsive during certain actions.

1. When searching via the searchbox at the top, the whole UI goes unresponsive for about 5 seconds.

2. When opening rhythmbox, when it scans for library changes the whole ui goes unresponsive until its finished

This makes the program pretty unusable and is horrible behavoiur for a default media player. Computer specs: core i5 2.53ghz, 4gb ram, 640gb hdd, intel graphics. Media library has ~13k songs.

Hmm, having trouble reproducing this now after another clean install. Searching fine and no freezing. If no one else sees this, it can probably be closed.

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
