Lower Rounded Corners of Human Theme look Jagged

Bug Description

Binary package hint: human-theme

If you look very closely at the lower rounded corner of every window in Feisty, you will notice that they look very jagged, not really round. There also seem some grey pixels outside of the (round) window border itself, which mask whatever lies behind. The upper two corners look much better.

This is a regression to Edgy, which had 4 perfectly round corners per window.

I could upload images to demonstrate the problem - would this be of any use?

Marking as confirmed, I have noticed this for a while and found it a bit annoying when you pay attention to details :)

Yes a screenshot would help for those of us not running Feisty.

Unless someone has fudged with the Metacity implementation, I can't see how this would change.

It should be exactly four stanzas -- two for the lower left and right outlines, and two for the lower left and right highlights. After looking over the commit logs of the last human-theme commits, I can see nothing that changes the metacity work.

Ideas?

I am uploading two images from Feisty, one for a (buggy) lower right corner, and one for an (almost ok) upper left corner. Being highlighted or not makes no difference. I'll have a look if I can get an example for Edgy later this day.

Note that also the underlying grawing routines (Cairo?) could have changed.

I am uploading a hand modified upper left corner to demonstrate how a rounded corner should look perfectly rounded. If you compare this image to the "real" thing, you will notice one additional pixel.

However, the 5 bad pixels on the lower corners are much worse.

Here is one more example: Dapper, using a custom theme (human controls + clearlooks-balloon window border). All corners are perfect.

I had an odd feeling of deja vu. This is a duplicate of #83847 if I'm not mistaking. If I'm wrong, feel free to unmark as duplicate.
