Interface isn't usable/frozen

First the interface is frozen for quite a long time, then I can't play any music.

Does playing the file work in the totem movie player? Also, could you get the
output of "banshee --debug" while reproducing this issue please?

I switched from the nvidia current-updates driver to the nvidia current driver and now Banshee and Firefox run without any freeze.
