Bug Description

It's a really small issue that someone reported during auto-hide checkbox tests - I can reproduce it also on my system.

It seems that during auto-hide enabling/disabling through the settings, the whole desktop is shifted to the side (when enabling auto-hide, the desktop is slightly shifted to the left and when disabling - to the right again). This can make some icons get shifted outside of the screen.

How to reproduce:
Enable auto-hide through settings. Create a new directory on the desktop and move it to the edge of the screen to the right. Now, disable auto-hide.

Expected result:
The desktop icons stay on their respective positions.

Actual result:
Icons shift left/right during enabling/disabling. In the end, the newly created direcotry is shifted to the right, slightly off screen.

Unity version: 5.4.0+bzr2041ubuntu0+654
Compiz version: 1:0.9.7.0~bzr3025-0ubuntu1ppa1

This seems to be caused by the same issue as in LP #57784. Since the root cause is the same, I'm marking this one as a duplicate.
