Bug Description

I you change settings in the Ubuntu Unity plugin, like the launcher opacity and panel opacity, it keeps these settings until you restart the computer. Then everything is at their default values again.
This happens only when I used the nouveau graphics drivers, when I switched to nvidia drivers all works well.

If this bug is related to Bug #944981, then perhaps this bug exists because CCSM writes to the wrong part of the gconf file. I just posted a workaround for the named bug, that may be a hint to a solution for the problem here.
