Bug Description

Autocommit is not turned on, if the autocommit parameter is set to True in den connect function of the MySQLConnection class.
As fas as i can see, the call of _post_connection should include the autocommit parameter.

Replicated with python-mysql.connector-0.3.2-1 in 12.04.

Hi Seth, please open bug reports using https://bugs.mysql.com. I'm a bit surprised you managed to open one on Launchpad..

0.3.2 is way to old. Download Connector/Python 1.0.9 from http://dev.mysql.com/ and try again.
