Bug Description
A rather unimportant bug, but still a bug. The terminal normally, when resized, snaps to sizes that are multiples of character size on the terminal, i.e. the size cannot be changed freely, but only to sizes that match a given number of characters. The resize is made in given 'increments' only. This is the correct behavior for a terminal.
But when a terminal is semi-maximized by dragging to the edge and then restored in any way (either by dragging or pressing the button), the terminal window enters a strange state where you can freely change the size of the window. Just as with any window. It no longer 'snaps' to character width and height. A bit annoying.
How to reproduce:
Open the terminal. Drag the window by the titlebar to the right or left edge of the screen, semi-maximizing the window. Then restore the window by either clicking the restore button, or dragging the window out of the semi-maximized state. Then try changing the size of the window.
Expected behavior:
Width and height cannot be changed entirely freely, as width and height can be changed only by increments of given character size on the terminal.
Actual behavior:
The window size can be changed freely - no increments, no snapping.
Ubuntu: precise
Compiz version: 1:0.9.7.
Unity version: 5.4.0+bzr2041ub
