Bug Description
With LMDE installed on a SAMSUNG NC10 PLUS athe graphical desktop begins to flicker, as soon as the system seems to be ready for the user.
Switching to the console area shows: ACPI: Failed to switch the brightness.
After returning back to the graphical screen, the brightness is stable (of course darker than before), but can be manually adjusted.
Switching to the console (CTRL+F2) and back again results in a darker graphical screen again (altough manually adjustment still possible).
uname - a: Linux mint 2.6.39-486 / Gnome / 32-bit
When does it appear: As soon as the system has been started.
Reproducable: yes
