Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02)
Volume control works fine.
System version: Ubuntu 7.04

I have a similar pc and the same problem, i worked perfect on Edgy, the problem comes with the update to festy... the volume output level is very low ... i could guess that at least 15% of the total output in Edgy
