Get "74G" wrong character logged instead of "utf-8 space character"

Bug Description

Precise i386, logged as gnome-classic

Report against rsyslog, but i'm not sure at all about which package i need to report against.
Looking at boot.log, each line terminate with that wrong encoding (before [OK])
