Bug Description

I purchased the following file from the ubuntu one music store "Bizarr - Grotesk - Monströs - Rede zur Ausstellung zeitgenössischer Karikaturisten in der Kestner-Gesellschaft in Hannover am 17. Februar 1978.mp3" The ubuntu one linux client did not sync this file to my local system. There were no error messages. To download it with a web browser did also not work. Downloading it with wget showed up the reason for not downloading. The system says file name to long. After shorten the filename the download worked.

I would expect a error message why the sync didn't work and even better handle client system limitations.

The file system encryption seems to be the reason for this limit.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for your report. I could synchronize a file with the same name, and download it from the website. So, as you said, it seems that this happens only with your encrypted file system. I'm inclined to think that this problem shouldn't be handled by us, but I'm not sure. I'll subscribe the team to get their opinions.

pura vida.
