Bug Description
I have an icon on my Gnome desktop which is a link to a file on a different file system. If I try to delete the link from the desktop, either by pressing Del or by putting it into the trash bin, I get an error saying that the file is on a different file system.
Apparently this operation cannot be done from inside Gnome, and I must do it on the command line.

The link was to a file residing on a mounted vfat file system.
