Bug Description

When I open the dash and expand the file/application/filter lists in any lens, the dash remembers my choice next time I open it. This is good, but when I log out of my session all of these choices are forgotten. Not so good. I'd expect the dash to remember weather I had an application list or filter expanded when I login to a new session.

No I don't think its the same. That bug is refering to the size of the dash. (windowed or fullscreen.) That's never bee an issue for me. I'm referring to the state of menus and filters within the dash. They are collapsed on every login, regardless of the state they were left in on logout. This has been happening since I installed with alpha 1. I don't know what it did in 11.10, I never used it.

also affects "apps available for download".

if i disable them the option is forgotten on log-out or reboot.

and as you can see from the pic, there is a lot of area not being used when user toggles fullscreen dash to view more rows.

The duplicate status is obviously wrong in this bug because what is reported here is a different issue altogether.

The bug is that when you expand the filters in the dash, they default to their original state upon next login.

This is an issue for users who have their dash launch in fullscreen mode (maximized) and want the filter categories visible at all times. (This is particulary handy if you use 1920x1080 display resolution and above, and/or large monitors)

The design team needs to take a look at this.
