Cannot take screenshots while menus are open?

Open one menu (examples below) and press the "print screen" key. It won't open the screenshot thing. You have to close the menu first.

Example menus:

- the applications main menu
- windows' menu
- panels' menu
- any program's menu (all programs I tried, same result...)
