Bug Description
Using the Automatic Document Feeder on HP OfficeJet 6500 Wireless E709n. Using Simple Scan with "All Pages from feeder" option, each page is pulled through and after scanning each page is quickly fed out into the lower tray, except for the last page of any batch - this remains stuck in the printer, the printer states "Scanning..." on the display, but simple scan looks as though it's finished - the "Stop" button is not active.
Pressing cancel on the printer ejects the documents.
For reference, on the same system, XSane does not exhibit this fault, you need to put a high number in the pages to scan box, but it happily stops when the feeder runs out before that number is reached. So I'm guessing it's not a hardware fault, my printer acknowledges documents appearing being put in the feeder on it's own display too, and it's built-in photo-copy function works fine. Not sure if it's related or helpful but Scan2PDF exhibits a different problem, it scans blanks after the batch is done until you cancel it.
I'm sure it worked fine in 11.04, and possibly the early days of 11.10.
