In my case, check_gl_texture_size causes the gnome-settings-daemon to stop loading the desktop session.Aftrer killing the process, the session continues to load.
I've upgraded to 12.04 4 days ago. My laptop uses Intel Graphics with i915 module.

Can this be related to the same problem or it's bettere to open a new bug?
