Bug Description
I'm running Precise with proposed enabled, using nouveau with a NVIDIA Corporation G84 [GeForce 8600M GT] [10de:0407]. When logging-in to Ubuntu (3D) the screen looks scrambled, sometimes like a mosaic. This takes a few seconds before showing the wallpaper and then loading the desktop (login3d and 2d png screenshot). When logging into Ubuntu 2D it the same thing plus a completely gray screen that takes other few seconds before loading the desktop (login2d png screenshot). This is reproducible every time I login after a restart. It also happens if I login using a different user. It doesn't happen once I log back in to my user's session, only at the first login after a restart.
Using nvidia-current 295.20-0ubuntu1 the screen shows another scrambled image, the same image every time (nvidia_

its maybe something that was hidden previously with LightDM having a wallpaper behind the login screen. I am using nvidia-binary so the issue is definitely not related to nouveau.
