Clear history doesn't remove the last copied item

Bug Description
Steps
=====
Say the history is as follows:
item 3
item 2
item 1
Click on the Glipper systray icon and choose to clear history.
Actual result
=============
Click again on the systray icon. There's no longer any items displayed in the history, but we can still paste "item 3" with Ctrl+v.
Expected result
===============
Ctrl+v shouldn't paste anything. It can be a security issue when we copy a password, then clear history thinking we deleted the sensitive data.

The problem is not about selection. There's no selection, and the Selection clipboard is unchecked on the preferences.
Also, I tested Parcellite and it doesn't have this bug.
