Bug Description

I was trying to play "Catacomb Snatch", Mojang's entry to "The Humble Bundle Mojam" (a sprint where Mojang, Wolfire, and Oxeye try to build a game in 60 hours to raise money for charities) but the games freezes after a short while. The game/openjdk has problems playing some audio files (e.g.: ones that should be played upon killing a mob).

This bug is 100% reproducible on Precise, just wander around a little bit and attempt to kill a couple of mobs.

Haven't tested with Sun's JRE 6 yet.

Thank you for your report!

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the
developers failed (it does not generate a useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system
at the time of the report:

libnss3 version 3.13.1.with.ckbi.1.88-1ubuntu3 required, but 3.13.1.with.ckbi.1.88-1ubuntu5 is available
libnss3-1d version 3.13.1.with.ckbi.1.88-1ubuntu3 required, but 3.13.1.with.ckbi.1.88-1ubuntu5 is available

Please upgrade your system to the latest package versions. If you still
encounter the crash, please file a new report.

Thank you for your understanding, and sorry for the inconvenience!

I'm experiencing the same crash with OpenJDK on Ubuntu 11.10 with all the latest updates installed.

Also crashes for me on oneiric. Stacktrace attached. Always crashes after I kill a mob (and I assume a sound should be played).

why is this bug report "Invalid"? What more info is needed to acknowledge this issue?

It was apparently marked as such by the retrace service since I had an "obsolete" version of libnss3 on my system. I'm manually changing the status from "Invalid" to "Confirmed" since I'm not the only one experiencing this issue.

Changed in openjdk-6 (Ubuntu):
status: Invalid → Confirmed
