matthias@schlumpf:~$ lsb_release -src
6.10
edgy

matthias@schlumpf:~$ uname -a
Linux schlumpf 2.6.17-11-generic #2 SMP Thu Feb 1 19:52:28 UTC 2007 i686
GNU/Linux

matthias@schlumpf:~$ dpkg -l brasero | grep ii
ii brasero 0.5.2-1 Brasero (aka Bonfire) is a CD/DVD
mastering tool for the gnome desktop. It has been designed to be simple
and easy to use.

Remark:
The same error I noticed in the previous version of brasero (5.1).
And the error is only coming up, if I intend to copy a CD/DVD into a
file which I choose to be an iso-file.

Best regards,

According to https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/brasero/ there is no such version in edgy (even in edgy-backports). Could you retry with an ubuntu package, to see if there is also this issue?
Thanks.

I have probably the same problem with burning an *.ISO image in Edgy:

burning data CD from files is ok, the problem is only with burning an
  iso image... e.g. ubuntu-7.04-beta-desktop-i386.iso :-(

Brasero 0.5.2-0ubuntu1 from Ubuntu 7.04 still can't copy CD to File Image - displays an error message "Not enough disk space (3778 MiB needed)", but I'm copying 700MB CD and there are ~20 000 Mib on that partition !
I'm attaching brasero session log file to this bugreoport

Integrity error burning for some months in the prints made by Brazier.

Its been about me that I see an image by burning Ubuntu and checking his MD5SUM was corrupt. I had put her on the back of my drive that had aged, because I had to reinstall but the problem was still present.

Today I completely change the PC and reinstall all the system is the problem recurs. The thing is that I fall on the same exact same ISO MD5SUM for a German user here: ... http://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/64bit erst-zu / 2 /

ubuntu-11.10-desktop-amd64.iso downloaded http://ubuntu.virginmedia.com/releasktop-amd64.iso
Official MD5SUM: 62fb5d750c30a27a26d01c5f3d8df459
MD5SUM Obtained with Brasero 8550312216c29a83a2713f8dc36c0935

So I wanted test if it was more serious or brazier. With the K3B no problem.
