Segmentation falult in alarmclock on reading file

Bug Description

I am porting this application from another version of Linux. When I attempted to read in my alarms saved by the application It failed with a segmentaton fault.

Later: Interestingly enough, the data were posted to the application. The crash may have had something to do with the termination of the file or the fact that the pixbuf package was missing, since added.
