Pressing Super+<number> stops the desktop from responding to most input

When I press Super and a number key in Unity 3D after the latest Unity updates (like one would to launch a pinned app), the launcher icons are overlaid with their shortcut numbers, and that's all that happens. Right-click on launcher icons still opens quicklists which can be interacted with, but other than that the whole desktop stops responding to any input, mouse or keyboard. Basically, triggering this bug renders the desktop completely unusable.

This is extremely reproducible during normal use. The only workarounds I found so far are to do a hard reset or switch to a tty and enter unity --replace.

Unity 2D, GNOME Shell, and my other sessions still work fine.

I did a bit more fooling around with it and narrowed it down to a specific Super key combo shortcut.
