Bug Description

Seems to be either a multiarch problem or a remnant of the gzip problems..

Unpacking libapt-pkg4.12:i386 (from .../libapt-pkg4.12_0.8.16~exp12ubuntu4_i386.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libapt-pkg4.12_0.8.16~exp12ubuntu4_i386.deb (--unpack):
 './usr/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/libapt-pkg4.12.mo' is different from the same file on the system
dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe)

It looks to me like the same underlying issue as bug 924628. Would you agree it's a duplicate rather than a new issue?

Most likely yes.

The question is when will it be fixed?
The last interation of the package libapt-pkg4.12_0.8.16~exp12ubuntu4
still didn't fix it.

It seems that the last compiles were done on a computer which still ha[sd]
the broken gzip installed.
