Bug Description
Today, for the first time in my life, I've felt an instant need to click on a '+1' or 'like' button, when viewing comment #15 of ubuntu bug #916879. That has never happened to me on facebook or google+ or whatever, where such buttons are abundant.
If launchpad users that are logged in could 'like' or 'dislike' eachother's comments, the developers would have a way of knowing if a particular comment is the opinion of a lone individual who hasn't had his coffee yet, or expresses a broadly felt sentiment in the community.
My current option within launchpad is to reply "me too!", arguably a popular technical solution in the early nineties.
In a sense, a 'like' or '+1' for comments is somewhat similar to knowing the number of people affected by a particular bug: the higher the number, the more developers should take the bug into consideration. The same should be possible for comments.
P.S. This was originally a question, but I suppose a bug report is more appropriate.
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
