Bug Description
I did an install (ubuntu automatic partition of 80G drive) on an original iMac 233 w/512MB RAM.
Since the install, the Mac now freezes on "Please Wait, loading kernel...". I've used Debian Testing
w/kernel 2.5.x on the same iMac w/o problems. Is there some switch I need to enable?

Hi Mike ...
Can you boot into the installer, and mount your partition and try to get your
/etc/yaboot.conf out of the system and post it ?
Also, can you tell me something about your system, which partitions you used,
and what disks you have attached to it ?
The "Please Wait, loading kernel..." message is a yaboot message, and either
something is seriously wrong with the kernel, or your yaboot configuration may
be hosed. I tend to believe the second, until further notice, since the kernel
problem should happen very early in the kernel initialization, which didn't
really change all that much, and since it is probably the same kernel as the one
used for the installer, which worked ...
